Anahuac National Bank

In 1976, a handful of local farmers, ranchers and businessmen chartered & organized the only national bank in Chambers County. Today, over 40 years later, Anahuac National Bank is still the only national bank in Chambers County, but more remarkable is that it is also the only locally owned & independently operated bank in Chambers County.

Ken Moore, President & CEO stated that “in the wake of deregulation, costly compliance constraints and fierce competition, many of the once local owned community banks have sold out and consolidated with larger regional financial institutions. We are truly “the last of the Mohicans”!

When Anahuac National opened its doors in 1976 with $1.5 million in Total Equity Capital, the bank had one location, three officers and a board of directors that was comprised of Sherwood Blair, Arthur T Jackson, B.M. Jenkins Sr., Elton Kirkham, Ralph Leggett, Leo Moon, and Floyd Williams.

Today, it now has over $13 million in capital, $122 million in total assets, 5 locations, 13 officers and over 20 employees. President Moore stated that “we have been very fortunate with our growth strategies that focused on serving customers and seemed to always be at the right place at the right time.”

We have banking centers located in all the major communities of Chambers County: Anahuac, Mont Belvieu, and in Winnie. Each location operates as an independent bank of their respective community, staffed by personnel who reside within their specific locales, helping to provide better service and the assurance that there is a connection between our customers and our banks. In early 2018, Hardin Bank was opened in the community of Hardin, Liberty County as well as Barbers Hill Bank – HEB, our 2nd location in Mont Belvieu.

Our customer base ranges from teenagers to folks who are well into their nineties, so it is critical that we provide a wide range of services to meet all their banking needs. Some customers want more tangible services, including physically talking to someone, shaking someone’s hands, providing paper statements or just a good cup of coffee. Others like more automated, hi-tech services such as e-statements, mobile & online banking products.” No matter what bank location or what age of the customer, ANB has always focused on the main goal of providing financial solutions, dedication and commitment to the communities that it serves in Chambers and Liberty Counties.

Routing/Wiring Instructions

Anahuac National Bank customers will be required to have a routing number or routing transit number is a 9 digit number that identifies a financial institution in a transaction and the location where your bank account was opened. The most common types of transactions are ACH and wire transfers. You’ll often be asked for your checking account routing number when you’re making a payment online or by phone.

Some banks and financial institutions usually have multiple routing numbers serving different purposes, geographical regions, and branches. Therefore it is important to ensure that you are using the correct routing number before you initiate a money transfer.

A routing number can also be referred to as an RTN, a routing transit number, or an ABA routing number and can be easily be found printed on the bottom of a check or in the online banking portals of the financial institutions.

How to Find Your Routing Numbers on Check

The best way to find the routing number for your Marquette Bank checking, savings, or business account is to look into the lower-left corner of the bank check.
